Educators from Bengaluru, Chennai and Sangli top the third edition of Tata ClassEdge Classroom Championship

TATA ClassEdge, a leading provider of innovative technology-based learning solutions for schools, announced the winners of the third edition of the coveted ClassEdge Classroom Championship (CCC) that assesses creative adoption of technology in classroom teaching. This edition saw participation of over 4,700 teachers from over 500 schools across India, with teachers from Bengaluru, Chennai and Sangli winning top honors. Educator Mr. Pramod Keshavamurthy from Sindhi High School, Hebbal, Bengaluru was the National Winner with Ms. Uma Maheswari P T from St. Joseph’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai and Ms. Jayamala S Patil from Kirloskar High School and Junior College, Kirloskarwadi, Sangli coming in second and third place respectively. Mr. Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, Tata Sons felicitated the winners of the finals which were held in Mumbai recently. The National winner was also awarded a cash prize.
The ClassEdge Classroom Championship was launched in 2016 by Tata ClassEdge to recognize teachers who have creatively adopted technology in classroom teaching. Teacher participation has been surging every year since CCC’s first edition in 2016, which witnessed 1500 teachers from over 250 schools. In 2017, 2,500 teachers participated from 350+ schools, and this year there were 4,700 teachers from 510 schools.

Evaluations at the school, regional and zonal levels were held to identify the top 12 teachers, who participated in the final round held in Mumbai. The judges included a panel of eminent educators and academicians.
