The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) is set to transform its digital services by integrating the Namma Chennai mobile app and its official website into a unified citizen-centric platform. The project, estimated at ₹2.62 crore, is expected to be completed within one year.

The upgraded platform will provide Chennai residents with easy access to a wide range of services through a single interface. These include civic services, grievance redressal, government payments, public amenities, transportation services, tourism information, and emergency assistance.

One of the major highlights of the project is the introduction of an AI-powered chatbot, which will help users access services, submit complaints, track requests, receive notifications, and complete transactions more efficiently. Citizens will also be able to monitor grievance status, payment history, and personalized service recommendations through a dedicated dashboard.

The platform is expected to integrate Chennai Metro Rail, MTC buses, inter-city bus services, auto and cab bookings, making urban mobility more convenient. Smart parking facilities with live availability updates, online reservations, QR-based entry and exit, and digital payment options are also planned.

In addition, the portal will feature tourism-related services, including information on heritage sites, museums, parks, cultural attractions, guided tours, and online ticket booking. Emergency services such as ambulance booking, disaster alerts, SOS assistance, water supply notifications, and public health updates will also be available.

The initiative is aimed at creating a comprehensive digital ecosystem for Chennai residents while improving service delivery, citizen engagement, and urban governance through technology.
