Inspiring story of Natarajan from TN- First Ever to represent India in all 3 formats of cricket on a single overseas tour

He was born to a daily wage construction worker in a huge family and he has seen poverty from close quarters. He had faced lots of issues in his young life. Now, we are talking about Mr. Thangarasu Natarajan aged 29 a cricketer from Salem, TN who has broken many barriers and has now created a unique record in Indian cricket history. It is true that he would not have imagined that one day he would play for India in all three formats that too very soon.

The sensational record is Natarajan has become the first ever player in India to play all the three formats like Tests, One day internationals and T20 internationals on a single overseas tour. The sacrifice, toil and the passion of Natarajan has been making many heads turn. He had made long travels from the dusty lanes of Chinnappampatti near Salem in TN to the IPL team and to the Indian test team now. In the past, he had breached the defences of many batsmen with a tennis ball in his hand and now with a cricket ball. IPL 2021 brought Natarajan huge fame because he dismissed top class batsman of South Africa, A.B. Devilliers with a fabulous Yorker. From obscurity, Natarajan has been making huge noises now.

It is well known that representing India in the test format is totally different one. Mr. Natarajan was selected to play in the last and final test against Australia in Brisbane as many senior players had injuries. He grabbed the chance with both hands by taking a wicket.

Amazing entry of Natarajan into the Indian team:

His entry into the T20 team was amazing because he was not selected in the first place but replaced his fellow TN team mate Mr. Varun Chakravarthy who got injured. Later, Natarajan was included in the one day team and he played one day internationals for India and was successful. He bamboozled the Australians with his deadly Yorkers and slower balls.

With many senior players absent and unfit to play due to their injuries in the final test at Brisbane, Natarajan was selected to play in the final test. He grabbed the attention of many with his skiddy pace and swing and troubled many Australian batsmen and took the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne with a quick short ball. Hope he makes India proud with his bowling in the future matches also. Wishing Natarajan all the best!!
