Public Alert: Orange Alert given to 5 districts!!

`Orange Alert, a warning signal for fast approaching heavy rains, has been issued to 5 districts in the State of Tamil Nadu including Trichy and Thanjavur!
There are strong prospects for heavy rain in these 5 districts on 1st August! As such, an orange alert has been issued to these districts.
A notification released in this regard by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned:
"A cyclonic format is prevailing in the lower layers of the atmosphere over Tamil Nadu! Due to this, there are prospects for medium rain in a few places in the Chennai Metro City.
There are prospects for heavy rains in 1 or 2 places in 16 districts in Tamil Nadu State including Kanyakumari, Thirunelveli, Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupathur, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Vellore, and Namakkal.
As regards tomorrow (Saturday, 30th July) and the day after (Sunday, 31st July), there are prospects for heavy rains in 1 or 2 places in the districts of the Western Ghat Mountain range, Western districts, Thirunelveli, Virudhunagar and Madurai districts.
As regards 1st August, Orange Alert has been issued with strong prospects for very heavy rains to the 5 districts of Perambalur, Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Trichy, and Thanjavur. There are prospects for heavy rains in other districts.
In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 10 cm has been recorded in Sithampatti in Madurai!"
