After heavy rains in the month of December, the weather in Chennai is pleasant now and rains have stopped. Soon, this situation is going to change!!

The surprising piece of information that has come out now is that the state of Tamil Nadu would get rains soon because of the cold waves and humidity present in the northern places across India now. It is now expected that Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh would get heavy rains today and tomorrow. The regional meteorological center or RMC in Chennai has mentioned recently that from today TN and AP would be receiving heavy rains.

The RMC later pointed out that in the districts like Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Villupuram, Puducherry, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Karaikal, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukottai would receive rains today. Yellow alert has been given to Chennai as well as to other neighboring districts now.  The RMC has mentioned that the public must be aware of this.

There are chances of light to moderate rains in various other districts like kallakurichi, Ariyalur, Tiruvannamalai, Perambalur, Trichy, Tenkasi, Kanniyakumari and Tirunelveli etc. It has been found that the reason for formation of the relative humidity now is due to the cold winds that blow from northern and eastern parts of India. Information is that the relative humidity would result in a low pressure in the above mentioned districts and finally to the rains. The upper air circulation has been formed in the south Bay of Bengal now and when this moves in the north and north-west then TN would receive rains.
