Latest information about rains in Chennai - Deep depression in another 24 hours in TN!!

The Regional Meteorological Centre or RMC, Chennai has informed that the low pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal would intensify into a deep depression in the next 24 hours.  The fishermen have been given warning not to venture into the sea because of the cyclonic storm.

As per some weather officials, the coastal districts and Western Ghats would get heavy rains and thunderstorms in the next 2 days.

Mr. N. Puviarasan, director Area Cyclone Warning Centre, RMC, Chennai mentioned that on Tuesday morning a low pressure area was formed over the north-western Bay of Bengal. In the next 24 hours, it would intensify into a deep depression. He added that the fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea due to the cyclonic storm at speeds 40kmph to 50kmph in the south-eastern Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman Sea.

It is important to note that due to the atmospheric air circulation districts in TN such as The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul,Tirupur, Tenkasi, Tiruvallur, Chengalpet, Nagapattinam, Thoothukudi, Villupuram, Ramanathapuram and kanyakumari etc could get heavy rains and thunderstorms in the next 2 days.

Information gathered is that in the next 48 hours, Chennai would likely to get light to moderate rains
