Heavy rains in Chennai and in other neighbouring districts in TN today!!

It has been confirmed that today (24th of August) there would be heavy rains in Chennai and in 4 districts belonging to Tamil Nadu.
According to Mr. N. Puviarasan, director, RMC, Chennai, atmospheric circulation would be responsible for heavy rains with thunder and lightning in one or two places belonging to the districts of Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai etc on 24th August.
He added that other districts in Tamil Nadu plus Puducherry, Karaikal etc would have moderate rains with thunder and lightning at one or two places. Information is that on 25th and on 26th August, districts like The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, coastal districts, Puducherry and Karaikal there would be light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning at one or two places. Inner districts would receive light rains with thunder and lightning. From the year 1787, RMC has been making its presence felt and it plays a huge role in weather related activities is well known.
