For next 2 days, temp to reduce and in the weekend Chennai city to get rains

The impact of the Cyclone Taukete would be felt in Chennai soon!!
Though Chennai might not have got rains due to this cyclone but the intensity of this cyclone might bring strong sea breeze to land. For the next 2 days, there would be reduction in the temperatures in Chennai city.
It has been pointed out by some weather bloggers that Chennai might have chances of rains towards the weekend. It is now revealed that another system might form closer to the Andaman Islands. Chennai and its suburbs would have a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 28 degrees Celsius with partly cloudy skies in the next 2 days. This was according to IMD.
For so many days in this May month, easterlies or strong sea breeze has been keeping the day temperatures below the normal are well known. Last week, the weather system intensified over Arabian Sea and it has been pulling winds from Bay of Bengal over the lands. The day temperatures have been under control due to this reason.
Numgambakkam and Meenambakkam in Chennai on Monday recorded maximum temperatures of 35.8 degrees Celsius (1.7 degrees below normal) and 37.5 degrees Celsius (0.9 degrees below normal) respectively.
