Massive Massive rains continue in Kerala, Niilgiris ghats and Valparai. Even lesser rainfall areas such as Ooty, Coonoor, Coimbatore City join the party with heavy rains. If these areas can clock heavy rains, it shows the power of the monsoon winds. Coimbatore Peelamedu one of the driest place has got 73 mm till 8.30 pm its alltime record in August is 83.7 mm in 1988. All set to be broken and Coonoor August full month normal itself is 89 mm but in last 15 hours has got 81 mm.
The other side Kerala rains will continue. Mallapuram, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Wayanad, all getting heavy rains. Tomorrow and Saturday more rains expected.
Surely, if rains continue tomorrow at the same rate, things are going to go out of control. Its better people in vulnerable areas move to safe locations.
Tomorrow Avalanche readings will keenly watched. Once in life time historic rains are happening in this place.
