The amazing piece of news that has come out now is interior parts of the state of Tamil Nadu would get pre monsoon showers and would cool down. This has been predicted by the weathermen. It is said that coastal places that includes Chennai city would remain hot. It must not be forgotten that TN and Chennai has been experiencing high temperatures for many days now.

A trough or wind discontinuity from south interior Karnataka to Comorin area across interior TN extending up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level persists. This was as per the regional meteorological centre or RMC in Chennai. The important information collected is this would bring light to moderate rains at isolated places in TN till this weekend.

On Thursday, there might also be some heavy rains in the interior places belonging to Tamil Nadu. This was confirmed by weather experts. An official belonging to meteorological department spoke about how thunder storms with gusty winds and lightning is likely to take place at isolated places.

Usually in the month of March, the pre monsoon showers would start is known. This pre monsoon shower has been delayed in TN now and as a result of that only 89 percent deficient rain was possible. According to Mr. Mahesh Palawat, chief meteorologist, Skymet Weather, in the next 2 or 3 days there would be thunderstorms in the afternoons and in the evenings. It is now revealed that both heat and thunderstorms would make back to back appearance in the districts of TN.

The important point here is this change in the weather in the districts in TN would not be of any advantage for the coastal districts including Chennai. The temperatures in these coastal places would remain the same. For the next 48 hours, Chennai city is likely to have the maximum temperature of 36 degree Celsius and minimum temperatures of 27 degree Celsius.

The condition of the sky would be partly cloudy in the morning. It must be noted that on Tuesday, 16th April 2019,atleast 6 districts including Dharmapuri, Karur, Madurai, Namakkal, Trichy, Tiruttani and Vellore recorded temperatures more than 40 degrees Celsius.

People belonging to Vellore would be finding it difficult in this hot weather. The information collected is Vellore recorded highest temperature of 42 degree Celsius. Nungambakkam in Chennai recorded 35.5 degree Celsius and Meenambakkam recorded 36.4 degree Celsius. The point is both the above mentioned places in Chennai recorded temperatures 0.7 degrees above normal.
