Dry climate to persist for 5 days

Posted on: 07/Jan/2019 10:45:50 AM
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are no prospects of rain for the next 5 days and only dry climate will persist during these 5 days though the Bay of Bengal is stormy due to the effect of the cyclone Papuk.

Though the northeast monsoon rainy season has come to a close, the trend of cyclones developing over the upper layers of the atmosphere over the seas/oceans has continued.

The cyclone format Papuk, which formed over the South China Sea, has now weakened and is expected to cross the coast to the Bay of Bengal near Andaman. So, the fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea near the southeast and central parts of the Bay of Bengal.

The sky is likely to be cloudy over the next 5 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. However, as per the announcement from the Chennai Meteorological Centre, there are no prospects of rain over the next 5 days and only the dry climate will persist.
