Papuk storm developed over the Bay of Bengal - fishermen warned

As a cyclonic format which originally developed over the China Sea has now drifted to the region over the Bay of Bengal, the fishermen are banned from venturing into the sea until 7th January.
As the northeast monsoon rainy season has come to a close on 31st December, the winter season has intensified. The cold climate has increased throughout Tamil Nadu. The minimum temperature of 18 to 20 Degrees Celsius has prevailed in Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Tirunelveli, Thanjavur, Nagapattinam.
The weather bureau has informed that the intense cold will persist for the next 4 days.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic format ‘Papuk’, which originally developed over the China Sea, has drifted and moved towards the Bay of Bengal. This cyclonic format will prevail over the Indian areas for 3 days. It has been estimated that it will then drift towards Thailand and persist there for another 3 days. Subsequently, it will drift towards Myanmar.
The sea will be stormy because of the cyclonic format. Turbulent waves will rise to several feet high. Hence, the fishermen of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra, Odisha, and West Bengal are warned not to venture into the sea until 8th January for fishing in the East and Central Bay of Bengal and Andaman.
