Rain to persist in Tamil Nadu for next 2 days

While it has been raining already in some districts including Toothukudi, Madurai, and Sivagangai, the Meteorological Centre has informed that rains will persist in Tamil Nadu for the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu.

It rained heavily in the Tirunelveli district including areas Radhapuram and Nanguneri. Due to the persistent rains in the areas of the Western Ghat mountain range, flooding has been caused in Courtallm waterfalls. Subsequently, bathing in the waterfalls has been banned.

There was heavy rain in Thoothukudi, Srivaikunatam, Thiruchendur, and Kovilpatti and other areas. The low-lying areas in Thoothukudi were inundated with rainwater.

It rained heavily up to the early morning in Cuddalore, Nellikuppam, and Panrutti. There have been heavy rains also in districts Sivagangai, Kanyakumari, and others.

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that the northeast monsoon rainy season will continue in Tamil Nadu.

It rained heavily in Sankarankovil in Thirunelveli district. There were widespread heavy rains in Thiruvenkadam, Kuruvikulam, Karivalam, and other areas since morning. Because of the heavy rains, the climate temperature reduced and a cool climate prevailed. Naturally, the public was delighted with the pleasant climate!
