On Thursday, 1st November, northeast monsoon has arrived finally

The superb piece of news is on Thursday, 1st of November 2018, northeast monsoons had arrived and this brought rains across the coastal places of Tamil Nadu. It is now revealed that by Friday, 2nd of November, showers in other parts of TN are expected. During this forthcoming deepavali there would be heavy rainfall and this was confirmed by the private weather bloggers.

According to the deputy director general of RMC, Chennai, Mr. S. Balachandran, there has been continuous rains in coastal TN and south coastal AP. He later spoke about how the monsoon that sets around 20th October with a deviation of 5 days to week was delayed by a week in 2018. Over the next 48 hours, Chennai city would receive light to moderate rains or thundershowers. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 32 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively.

Warning about heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated places across TN and Puducherry till 3rd of November was issued by the IMD or Indian Meteorological Department. The weather experts have predicted that on 4th of November there would be scattered rains and the rains would increase thereafter. On diwali, the low pressure developing in south Bay of Bengal would bring moderate to heavy rains and this was confirmed by Mr. Mahesh Palawat, chief meteorologist of Skymet.

Mr. Balachandran finally highlighted about how during northeast monsoon season, TN receives average rainfall of 44cm between the months of October and December. He finally hinted about the rainfall to be above normal in this year.
