Rain or thundershowers would occur at many places over Tamil Nadu

North East Monsoon rains began during the last week of October. Initially there were intermittent rains and during the month of November and December, heavy rains lashed Tamil Nadu. Chennai and suburbs floated in the water due to these torrential rains.
For the last few days there were no signs of rains. There is sunshine in Chennai. At this juncture an upper air cyclonic circulation lies over Comorin area and adjoining Sri Lanka and extends up to 1.5 kilometers above sea level.
Rain or thundershowers would occur at many places over Tamil Nadu. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky condition would be partly cloudy. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 31 and 24 deg Celsius respectively.
