Heavy Showers Likely in Coastal Districts in Next 24 Hours

Chennai Meteorological department has announced that Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry will receive heavy showers in the next 24 hours. In all coastal districts and delta regions, heavy showers are likely, added meteorology sources.
The low pressure zone on Kumari sea region has strengthened over Lakshadweep. The low pressure on the Bay of Bengal continues on the same region. This is likely to bring rainfall in Tamil Nadu, say sources.
In the past two weeks, Chennai and other nearby districts has been largely troubled by heavy downpour. Flood caused by these showers has left many people stranded alongside roads.
Rainfall is eventually reducing and there was no rain today in most areas. This is gradually bringing back normalcy in most places. Amidst these, the Chennai meteorology department has announced the likeliness of heavy showers in coastal districts in the next 24 hours.
