Vadapalani Lord Muruga Temple Kumbhabhishekham on 23rd January!

As a special arrangement to reduce the marriage-crowd congestion on wedding days, 43 marriage halls are to be constructed in the famous Lord Muruga Temple at Vadapalani, Chennai Metro City.

Further, the Kumbhabhishekham (rededication of the temp[le to the devotees) activities are being expedited at full swing to perform on the scheduled date!

The Tamil Nadu State Government Minister for Hindu Religious Endowment Sekar Babu visited the temple yesterday and personally inspected the progress.

After the inspection, The Hindu Religious Endowment Minister had a session with the press reporters and shared:

As all associated activities for the readiness for the Kumbhabhishekham are concluded, as per the advice of the Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, the Kumbhabhiskham is confirmed to be performed on 23rd January (tomorrow, Sunday).

On the auspicious Subha Muhurtham days ideal for weddings, the Lord Muruga Temple at Vadapalani teems with the wedding crowds. To reduce the crowd congestion on these special wedding days, 43 marriage hassles are proposed to be set up in the temple complex.

As regards the participation of the devotees in the holy event of Kumbhabhishekham, a decision to permit the devotees will be taken based on the pandemic situation on this given date!

During this inspection conducted by the Hindu Religious Endowment Minister, the Commissioner of the Department of Hindu Religious Endowment J. Kumarakurubharan, Vadapalani Temple Thakkar Aadhimoolam, and the DMK MLAs Mayilai Velu and J. Karunanidhi participated."
