MK Stalin assumes as Chief Minister of the Tamil Nadu State today (7th March)!

DMK President M K Stalin, son of the former Chief Minister Karunanidhi, assumed office as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu today (Friday, 7th March). He took the oath of office which started: “ Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin ennum naan’

One of the leading political parties in Tamil Nadu, DMK has won 125 legislative assembly seats in the recently conducted Legislative Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu and is all set to form the new government! As such, Stalin was elected as the Chief of the DMK MLAs on 6th May in a meeting.

Subsequently, including 8 other candidates who won the assembly election on DMK party symbol, Stalin met the Tamil Nadu State Governor Panwarilal Purohith, with the support list of a total of 133 MLAs.

The Governor accepted the letter and has invited Stalin to form the new government!

Subsequently, the function of M K Stalin, assuming office as the new Chief Minister of the State of Tamil Nadu has been in progress. Due to the prevalent raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic, the function was held in the Raj Bhavan...

At the start of the function, M K Stalin assumed office as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, with the oath starting as ’Nuthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin annum naan’ The Governor conducted the oath-taking ceremony including taking the oath.

Subsequently, 33 MLAs are set to take office as the new ministers. The Governor will perform the oath-taking and office assumption for these 33 MLAs.
