Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the Superstar Rajinikanth!

Dadasaheb Phalke Award, for the Excelelence in Film Sector for this year has been announced- the hugely popular Tamil Film actor, celebrated as ‘superstar’, gets the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for this year!
It may be recalled, that the film star Rajinikanth commenced his career initially acting as a villain in many films! He gradually grew in popularity to be called a ‘superstar’! There is a huge number of film fans for Rajinikanth! Film-buffs of all age group have immense liking for him!
As of now, Rajinikanth has acted in over 150 films!
As the saying goes, Rajinikanth reached a status where ‘whatever he touched, turned into gold’!! He was almost set to enter the arena of politics as well! However, his physical condition constrained him to give up all plans for political entry!!
In the above scenario, Central Minister Prakash Javadekar has announced that this year’s Dada Saheb Phalke Award will be given to Rajinikanth for his achievements in the film industry! So, Rajinikanth is awarded the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his excellence in the film industry!
Previous recipients of Dada Saheb Phalke Awards include - Amitab Bachan, Vinod Khanna, Latha Mangeshkar, Rajkumar (Kannada actor), Adoor and Gopalakrishnan (Director – Malayalam films),
In the Tamil film industry, actor Sivaji Ganesan and director K. Balachander have been awarded Dadasaheb Phalke Awards!
