Airtel has also started the process of launching such verification systems in many network circles of India like New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh east and west areas. Further the telecom company has plans to extend the verification system very soon to other parts of the country. Vodafone and Reliance Jio networks also rolled out the new verification system in accordance with the new rule of DoT.

All of these new verification alternates for Aadhaar based verification system is the result of Supreme Courts verdict against mandatory Aadhaar inclusion for all connections. The court order of September month ruled out the Aadhaar based verification system for almost all domestic applications in the country. The telecom operators stopped the Aadhaar based verification from October 26 for all the existing and new customers as per the order of the apex court.

DoT instructed all the telecom providers across the country for the alternate process of KYC digital verification with live photo and scanned images of proof of identity and addresses. The digital encrypted code of the individual will be derived from the new updated system that will verify the person for obtaining the new telecom network.
