Nose bleeding could also be due to these conditions

Many of us would have had this bleeding of nose issue in us without knowing the reason behind this bleeding.

What is nose bleeding?

There are many tiny blood vessels present in the lining of the nose and when these blood vessels that are close to the surface gets damaged then bleeding takes place in the nose. Most of us simply take this nose bleeding very lightly but the nose bleeding could also be due to various medical conditions in us.

The various health conditions that could cause bleeding of our nose are

Due to acute sinusitis:

This could also be the health condition that could create nose bleeding in us. The cavities around our nasal passages become swollen and inflamed. Mucus gets build up and drainage is restricted. Breathing becomes tough in those who have acute sinusitis issue. The face and eyes becomes swollen. Nose bleeds due to nasal congestion in us and this would happen when we blow our nose. Thumb and fingers could be used to squeeze the soft portion of the nose and bleeding could be reduced. Make sure that the nostrils are closed.

Due to allergic rhintis:

It is known that certain allergens are responsible for the hay fever or allergic rhinitis in us. Mostly pollen is responsible for this allergic rhinitis. During this issue, inflammation in the lining of the nose take place and this could result in nose bleeding. This issue mainly takes place in the childhood period.

Due to nasal tumour:

People these day get affected by many tumours and nasal tumours is one such where nose bleeds. This is accompanied by blood stained mucous draining from the nose. It indicates the presence of nasal tumour. Various symptoms are nasal congestion, numbness of teeth, loss of smell, pain near eyes, blockage of one side of nose and bleeding of the nose. By detecting this nasal tumour in the early stages itself proper treatment could be given.

Due to nasal polyps:

Sometimes in the lining of the nasal cavity there would be non-cancerous painless soft growths called polyps. Allergies, inflammation due to asthma etc cause this polyp growth. It is said that when the polyp grows big then it would show symptoms like bleeding of nose etc. Shrinking and elimination of nasal polyps could be brought by medications. The chances of developing polyps in nose would be lowered by avoiding nasal irritants or by proper hygiene.

Due to haemophilia:

It is known that haemophilia is a condition where the clotting ability of blood is reduced and a small cut could result in severe bleeding in us. Those people who have this health condition have nose bleeding in them.

Due to leukaemia:

In those people who have leukaemia, nose bleeding last long. Leukaemia interrupts normal pathway of clotting of blood. In people having leukaemia even a small lesion could result in heavy blood from the nose.  This nose blood would not be seen in the normal people having the same lesion.

Due to hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia:

Not many know that our nose bleeding could also be due to this auautosomal genetic disorder in us. People with this issue have abnormal formation of blood vessels in them and they have profuse nose bleeding. Nose bleeding takes place many times in a day and it could last for hours also in those with the above mentioned autosomal genetic disorder.
