Be it music, dance or other fine art forms, the state of Tamil Nadu is highly rich in culture in all its manifestations!!

This was pointed out by none other than the governor of TN Mr. RN. Ravi. He was busy inaugurating Octave 2023, a northeastern cultural festival. This festival has been organised by the South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur in Chennai and it will go on up to 6th of January 2023 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Kilpauk.

The governor spoke about how TN has been the spiritual as wella s the artistic capital of entire India. He added that the NE region is a beautiful part of India and the 8 states make up for 4% of the population and 8% of geography in India. It must be taken into account that Chennai residents would get a chance to see the music, dance, clothes and cuisine belonging to the north eastern states.

The rich culture as well as tradition of NE states could be witnessed in Octave 2023. This was according to Mr. N. Ravi, chairman of Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan in Chennai.  He is also the chairman of Kathuri and Sons ltd. The Chennai residents would be able to know and appreciate the culture, richness and diversity of north eastern states in India with this Octave 2023 event. It is now brought out that festivals like Octave 2023 etc could promote the understanding of each other`s cultures.

It was then mentioned by Mr. B. Chandramohan, principal secretary of tourism and culture that it was the first time that 8 NE states have been represented in Chennai by talented performers. These performers are well versed in the folk forms of their region. The director of south zone cultural centre, Thanjavur, Mr. KK. Gopalakrishnan and Mr. K.
