Great news regarding Kilambakkam bus terminus in Chennai

Kilambakkam in Chennai would soon be highly sought after by the residents!!
A new mofussil bus terminus is being constructed in Kilambakkam at an amount of Rs 393.74 crores is well known to us. This bus terminus would be ready by the month of September 2022.
Another bus terminus at Kuthambakkam would get ready by October 2022. It was brought to light by Mr. Hitesh Kumar, housing secretary and by Mr. Anshul Mishra, member of CMDA that till now 75% of work has been completed at Kilambakkam bus terminus and 45% at Kuthambakkam bus terminus.
Truth is that the bus terminus would be opened for the public in a phased manner. There has been a delay because of lockdown due to Coronavirus infection and increase in the materials cost etc.
About one and lakh passengers who are bound for southern districts in TN would use Kilambakkam bus terminus. As many as 250 buses, 270 cars and 3500 two wheelers could be parked at Kilambakkam bus terminus parking space. It is learnt that a separate bus stand for operating city buses to Koyambedu and to various other parts of Chennai was also proposed in the 5acre land.
The bus terminus would also be linked to the Chennai metro and by this the commuters would be able to go to Chennai Central, Egmore and north Chennai etc. Bus terminus at Koyambedu would be used for existing feeder bus service. It is learnt that these 2 new bus terminuses would reduce traffic congestion at the Koyambedu bus terminus.
