Superb news for the train commuters - Southern Railways does this now!!

For the last 2 years, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, many changes were made in the train transport. These changes include ban on the trains, operation of special trains, removal of unreserved compartments etc.
Once the Coronavirus infection was brought under control, certain trains were increased for the sake of the public. Second class public compartments are now being reconnected on 9 express trains. There would be 4 second class public compartments in the trains like Chennai Central- KSO Bangalore Lalbagh Express, Chennai Central-Mysore express, Ernakulam- KSO Bangalore express etc.
From Today, the addition of missing compartments would come into effect. From Tomorrow, 2 unreserved compartments would be added to the Thoothukudi- Mysore daily express train. Chennai Central- Vijayawada express trains would have 6 second class seats for the commuters. It is now mentioned that Mannargudi-Tirupati express train, Coimbatore-Tirupati express train and Chennai central-Tirupati express trains would be re-integrated with 9 second class public compartments and seats.
