At many strategic locations in Chennai, the policemen conducted vehicle checks. In the 24 hours that ended at 6am on Monday, the Chennai police personnel have booked cases against 4098 people. As many as 2154 vehicles have been seized also for violating the Covid-19 lockdown rules. The relaxation in the lockdown was welcomed by the traders, shopkeepers etc.
