After being closed for nearly 8 months, the theatres in the Chennai city were reopened once again on Tuesday. Point is that the reopening of the theatres did not attract huge crowds on the first day.

The Tamil film Kannum Kannum Kollaiadithaal was shown and there were just 20 who saw the film yesterday in the theatre. This was as per a film goer. She spoke about how the theatres had many safety precautions and how those seats that must not be occupied by film goers were marked clearly. It is now hoped by the movie goers that the new films that would be released for deepavali would bring huge crowds back once aging at the theatres in Chennai.

It was later pointed out by another film goer that there were many measures in the theatres for the sake of maintaining social distancing. He threw light on how in the past he had faced huge crowds in the theatres and how now the multiplex was very quiet.

The film goers saw the documentary film BTS or Break the Silence: The Movie at the theatres. It was brought by a film goer that there were around 50 inside the theatre who saw the film. The film goer threw light on how the theatre manager before the start of the show spoke about the physical distancing and various steps taken to keep the film audiences safe. As per the MD of Mayajaal theatre Mr. Udeep it was clear that the real trend about crowds would be known on deepavali as new films would be released.
