Join the movement of Saving Nature with Seeds

Posted on: 21/Mar/2019 12:17:13 PM
To all our Live Chennai users, here is our kind request for a little effort, a little extra effort that can make a whole lot of difference to our earth and environment.

It is likely that the peak season for fruits like Mango, Jack Fruit, etc. are set to begin. So, what do we usually do? We grab the sweetest of these fruits and imbibe on them and toss the seeds off into the bin! Wait, here should be your attention. Finally, after eating the fruits, instead of throwing away the seeds, why not spend just 5 minutes to wash them off and reserve them in a pack and have it in your car or bike? You may throw this away when you travel in any highway. With the onset of monsoon, these seeds you throw may start germinating and soon grow into a tree! By doing so, you are doing a humongous contribution to the environment. It is more substantial than you think it is. Every single tree we plant on mother earth is our success.

Nope, this is not just an idea we created, rather an idea prevalent for years that is in practice around Satara and Ratnagiri in Maharashtra. This movement is getting wide-spread across the country via social media like Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.

In fact, a number of other districts have requested their people to follow this practice in order to save mother earth and help people breath fresh air.

Join us in this journey and let us grow more trees altogether just with our little effort.

If you have joined this effort, do let us know, and we shall let the world know about your effort. Live Chennai strongly believes that the good needs attention, the good should make noise and good things, and good people need to join hands with each other.

Below is a form which you can fill up with your details including name, mobile number, mail id, residence, type of seed thrown, and details of road on which youve thrown the seeds. Your inputs will help others get motivated for the movement. So why wait? Go on!
