The latest news is starting from Thursday, 24th January 2019, the TN cable TV Operators Association has decided to stop their services. It was informed by the office bearers association that from Thursday the cable TV services would be stopped. TRAIs new tariffs would start from 1st of February and the news gathered was the office bearers of the association would stage agitation against this new tariff amount. It must not be forgotten that the deadline for the subscribers to select their TV channels of their own choice is 31st January 2019.

Till now the subscribers have been paying their cable TV bills even for those channels that they do not watch. The important piece of information is from 1st of February 2019 this would change and the subscriber would pay for those channels they watch on their Dish TV or cable TV connection. As per the office bearers association it is now clear that the new tariffs were introduced in a hurry.
