With all schools scheduled to reopen in Tamil Nadu next week, the Department of Transport has announced that it will be operating 2,200 special buses.
As the intensity of summer this year was higher, the State Government of Tamil Nadu postponed the reopening of schools to the 7th of June.
In this situation, to facilitate the families who went to their native places for the summer holidays, the Department of Transport has organized the operation of 2,200 special buses.
It has been announced that these buses will start operating on weekends, specifically on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Furthermore, 900 special government buses will be operated from various cities/places to Chennai Metro City.
