Next time, if you drink too hot coffee or too hot tea, then think twice before drinking!!

Not only does drinking alcohol raise the cholesterol and blood pressure levels etc in us and lead to deadly diseases in us but also consuming very hot beverages does the same. The shocking truth that has been brought to light recently is that even the intake of hot coffee or hot tea can lead to esophageal cancers in us. These beverages which we drink every day are considered as healthy drinks and they have got caffeine and antioxidants etc in them. These could increase the risk of diseases in us.

It is advised not to drink coffee or tea too hot as they could increase the risk of cancer by damaging the oesophagus. This was highlighted by some researchers belonging to the University of Cambridge.

Therefore, these beverages must be cooled down for a few minutes and then consumed by us. It has been found out that those persons who drink these beverages too hot are 4.1 times more prone to cancer. Those people who drank these beverages warmly had 2.7times the cancer risk. There were no details regarding the quantities available. The study was published in the Clinical Nutrition Journal.

It is noteworthy that those persons who liked to drink coffee were 2.8times more prone to disease risk as opposed to non-smokers. It must be noted that the genetic disease association was stronger in people who preferred caffeinated drinks as opposed to those who preferred the decaffeinated drinks.

How very hot coffee and tea can damage our oesophagus:

It is revealed that by intake of hot foods we could get thermal injury. In addition, sweetening the beverages could reduce the nutrition content and could be harmful. Another research study brought out the truth that coffee mixers and sugars could increase the risk of disease in regular drinkers by 30percent. When consumed in limited quantities, coffee would provide us with many health benefits. In the past, research studies have mentioned that drinking 3 cups of coffee per day could reduce type-2 diabetes, Alzheimer`s disease and Parkinson`s disease etc.
