Tiny in size and yellowish coloured, apricots are rich in vitamins and minerals. Depending on the variety, the flavour of apricots would vary from sweet to sweet tart. It is known that the apricots have a soft exterior and when ripe the flesh of the apricot is almost juicy. Apricots belong to the family named ‘Rosacea ‘and the other name of apricot is Prunus Armeciaca. Apricots contain minerals like copper, magnesium, manganese plus vitamins like A, C, E and K and fibres etc. By consuming apricots, we could get fantastic health benefits.

Various health benefits of eating apricots are

Maintains healthy skin:
The presence of vitamins like A, C etc is beneficial for the skin. The antioxidants present in apricots would slow down the process of aging in us.  The damage to the skin would get cured when we consume apricots rich in antioxidants etc.

Prevents constipation:
It is known that apricots are rich in fibre content and this would help in better digestion. By eating apricots, we could get smooth bowel movements in us. The foods would get broken down and would be processed easily. Point is that the fibres in apricots help the digestive and gastric juices to absorb nutrients more effectively.

Apricots are rich in water content and intake of apricots would help us to avoid dehydration. It is noteworthy that we must be hydrated well to avoid issues like BP, heart rate etc.

We can avoid inflammation and certain inflammatory diseases by consuming apricots rich in flavonoids. Various flavonoids in apricots are catechin, chlorogenic acids and quercetin etc.
