Be careful and avoid these foods that can lead to your stomach intolerance!!

After eating meals, some persons after eating their meals would experience bloating or cramps etc. Stomach intolerance is frequently confused with allergy. The former refers to the digestive system’s inability to process certain substances and latter refers to a potentially life threatening reaction of the immune system to a food protein. It is worthy to mention that the symptoms of stomach intolerance are less severe and they take more time to make their presence felt than allergic symptoms.

If you have a stomach intolerance issue, then please check out for these foods that could be responsible for your issue.

Avoid milk and cream:
The lactose sugar that is present in the milk and cream would be tough for some people to digest. It is possible to reduce the discomfort due to lactose intake by consuming lactase drops or tablets

Avoid cheese and yoghurt:
We could get intestinal discomfort when we eat cheese and yoghurt that have less lactose when compared to milk. Less sensitive persons can consume aged or firm cheeses having low lactose content. Instead of consuming yoghurt from shops we could prepare our own yoghurt at home.

Avoid wheat, kamut, starch etc:
The gluten that is present in wheat products might lead to celiac disease. This is an auto-immune disorder that would create issues to the small intestine. It is noteworthy that those persons who cannot tolerate gluten have non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Wheat is found in many processed foods.  These persons can also consume gluten free breads, rice etc.

Avoid barley, rye etc:
Some people might experience discomfort after drinking cold beer. The reason for that is due to the presence of barley that is used to prepare beer. Barley has gluten and those persons who are sensitive to gluten must avoid it. Brewing also sometimes has wheat, rye etc.

Avoid soy sauce:
It must be noted that soybeans are the most common allergens. Not many would know that soy sauce is often sweetened with wheat.  Persons who are sensitive to gluten or gluten intolerance can consume tamari or gluten free soy sauce.

Avoid chocolate:
Apart from milk, gluten is also present in some chips and chocolate bars etc. It is true that there are many products without either. If the stomach intolerance was not due to none of these ingredients, then it could be due to histamine which is a substance present in cocoa powder.

Avoid salad dressings:
Stomach intolerance could also be due to certain salad dressings sold inin the markets. It must be noted that wheat flour is added as thickener to the commercial salad dressings.

Avoid chips and fries:
Sometimes, these foods like chips and fries could be cooked using oils that are used to cook other foods. It is true that chips and fries are two potato based foods that have gluten in them. It is good to cook these foods in homes using a deep fryer.

Avoid eggs:
Inability to absorb and digest egg whites can lead to egg tolerance. This issue is associated with symptoms like bloating, headaches etc.
