Restrict or avoid the intake of these saturated fats for your health to be better

Keeping a check on cholesterol levels is very important for us if we want to have a healthy life and avoid serious health issues. Foods that have higher melting point and are solid at the room temperature are known as saturated fats. It is well known that these saturated fats are present in the cheese plus in other animal products etc. 

Our bad cholesterol level would become more if we consume saturated fats. The issue with bad cholesterol is that they get accumulated along the artery walls and prevent smooth blood flow from the heart to various parts of our body.

We must avoid or restrict these foods that are rich in saturated fats. 

Mayonnaise:
It is said that 100gms of mayonnaise contains 12gms of saturated fats. Therefore, we must not consume mayonnaise that is rich in saturated fats. So, please be careful.

Butter:
Not many are aware of the fact that 100gms of butter contains 51gms of saturated fats and one tablespoon of butter has 14.2 grams of saturated fats. It is important that we must consume less butter for the sake of our health.

Processed meat:
Saturated fats are present in high quantities in processed meats like sausage and salami etc. In addition, the processed meat also has got animal fats that are unhealthy. It is good to eat lean meat, chicken breast etc instead of the processed meats.

Dried and sweetened coconut:
When compared to tender coconut, dried and sweetened coconut is unhealthy. Saturated fats are present in high amounts in the dried and sweetened coconuts.

Deep fried foods:
Both trans-fats as well as saturated fats are present in deep dried foods. Hence these foods must be avoided by us for our health to be good. Examples of deep fried foods are fried chicken, batter fried foods etc.
