How to easily get rid of stretch marks at home?

Are you longing to wear your most favorite, adorable sleeveless top, but are your stretch marks around the arms stopping you from doing so? You are not alone, as there are many women out there suffering with the issue. Stretch marks are also named Striae. This is a problem that occurs across different age groups. These marks are really unpleasant to look at, especially in the knee areas and arms. This will totally change the shape of skin. The main cause of stretch marks is excessive weight gain or weight loss. Not just women, these stretch marks also affect men. Basically, understand that you are not doing anything wrong to get these marks – it is not your fault!

Generally, it is during puberty and pregnancy that most women start developing these stretch marks. As the skin gets stretched, it weakens skin collagen and starts developing thin lines under the skin layer. This eventually grows into marks. There is nothing to worry at such marks, as you have couple of simple home remedies to keep yourself prevented or lighten the existing ones.

Apply coconut oil

You can quickly get rid of stretch marks by applying coconut oil. In fact, there are studies that affirm this fact. Coconut oil is said to contain healing powers that will easily cure wounds and marks in the skin. For this, take a hand full of virgin coconut oil and gently apply on the areas that have stretch marks. This can be done twice a day for best results.

Apply fresh aloe vera

Aloe Vera is often known as a skin healing agent, but it also has properties to smoothen your skin. Aloe Vera has glucomannan and gibberellin found in it. This will encourage collagen synthesis and gradually fade out the stretch marks present. For this ,extract gel from aloe vera leaves. To this, add Vitamin A and E  oils by breaking the respective capsules. Mix thoroughly and apply on the area that have severe stretch marks.

Sugar can work too – sugar is commonly used for microdermabrasion method. To note, microdermabrasion is among some of the common methods that help in reducing stretch marks. For this, mix a cup of sugar and quarter cup of almond oil or coconut oil (as softening agent). Add a few drops of lime juice to it and make a mixture. This mixture can be applied in area having stretch marks. Apply at least for 10 minutes for best results. This can be done every alternative day, preferably before you take bath.

Shea butter – this is very rich in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It helps your skin in keeping it moisturized. As you apply shea butter regularly, it will enhance the overall health aspects of the skin and repair all damaged cells.

The method to apply shea butter is to take some portion of it and go on and apply over the stretch marks. Give it a nice massage for a few minutes and leave it as it is for a few minutes. This can be done 2 or 3 times in a day.

Castor oil – this oil is very rich in Ricinoleic acid content. This is a natural skin conditioner. It will largely help in reducing stretch marks. It is also useful in increasing hair glow and skin glow. Slightly warm the castor oil and give a nice massage on the stretch marks. This can be done for about 15 minutes.
