These tips for adolescent girls must be followed without fail

It is a stage where every one of us would have to go through in our lives. We are now talking about the ‘Adolescent stage` that is age between 10 and 19. This stage is very important for any girl because during this stage many changes such as physical, behavioural and psychological changes occur in a girl. Girls could get many health based issues at this stage of their lives and it is essential that a girl consumes healthy diet. Health problems like anaemia, PCOD affects many adolescent girls and these issues could be due to lack of nutrition and also due to their ignorant behaviour.

These tips for adolescent girls are very important for their health to be good. 

Fibre rich diet intake:

It is said that intake of 25 to 30 gms of fibre in a day is very essential for the adolescent girls. By eating fibre rich foods like papaya, berries, guava etc, fullness is got and this would make them to eat less food. There are also other health benefits of fibre intake like maintenance of blood sugar levels, lowering of insulin resistance, cholesterol levels are controlled etc.

Good quality protein intake:

For adolescent girls, consuming good quality protein is very important and in this regard intake of pulses, eggs, fish etc are highly beneficial. It is said that consumption of proteins could help in weight reduction also. It is superb to take complex carbohydrates because the digestion of it takes longer time and there would be a feeling of fullness for longer time periods. Foods like barley, oats, pulses etc are good for the adolescent girls.

Avoid skipping meals:

It is important that adolescent girls must not skip meals or must avoid have large gaps between their meals. They must eat less and frequent meals so that sudden increase in their blood sugar levels is avoided. Binge eating must be avoided compulsorily.

Do exercise every day:

In a day the adolescent girls must do minimum 30 minutes of exercise for their health to be good. By doing exercises there would be loss in the weight plus blood glucose and cholesterol levels would be kept in control.
