People living in the west and east Mediterranean places like Portugal, Morocco, Turkey, Syria etc would have been familiar with a leafy green called Arugula. Arugula is also known by other names like garden rocket, eruca, rocket salad, rucola, rucoli etc and it belongs to the family named ‘Brassicaceae’. This arugula is used a leafy vegetable for its peppery flavour is known. The amazing feature of this arugula is the flowers are arranged in a corymb of creamy white petals veined in purple and the stamens are yellow in colour.
