By these ways motion sickness in us could be prevented during the road trips

Road trip though brings huge excitement it could also result in motion sickness issues for many.  Not every person would enjoy long road trips with their families and friends. This motion sickness is nothing but strange disturbances in the inner ear due to repeated motions. It is known that this motion sickness affects kids between 2 to 12 years of age plus it also affects pregnant females, migraine persons etc. There are some symptoms of motion sickness and these are headache, vomiting, dizziness etc.

These ways are effective in preventing motion sickness in us.

Nature of food intake:

This is very important and it plays huge role in motion sickness of a person during long road trips. Avoiding spicy and fatty foods before or during road trip is important. Fluid consumption must be less and alcohol must be avoided during the trip.

Use the seat that creates least motion:

Many of us prefer back seats on long road trips. Initially sitting in the back seat would be good but after sometime because of our body moving up and down and side to side, motion sickness is triggered in us. So try to avoid back seats if you are prone to motion sickness issue.

Always have ginger and peppermint:

It is known that nausea and vomiting are the two main symptoms associated with motion sickness issue. So intake of ginger would be effective for nausea. Likewise intake of peppermint would be superb for vomiting. Hence it is essential to carry both ginger and peppermint while going on a road trip.

Getting fresh air:

Most of us go for long road trips in air conditioned cars with closed windows. This could be suffocating and could result in nausea.  In such cases the windows must be opened for sometime so that fresh air is got and this could help us to fight motion sickness.

Give rest to eyes:

This is important because most of us have the habit of reading books or engaging with our mobile phones etc during the road trips. This could create eye strain plus it could result in motion sickness. So giving rest for the eyes is essential.
