Everybody likes cute newborn babies and these babies are regarded as god’s gift. These newborn babies get affected by bacteria very easily. The physical hygiene of the baby could be maintained by making the baby to take bath but maintaining oral hygiene of a baby is not that easy.
In the mouth of the baby bacterial thriving moves at fast rate because of the fact that babies teeth cannot be brushed. Oral care is very important for the babies as white patch that takes place by Candida fungus starts to build up in the mouth of the newborns. Immune system in babies cannot maintain its natural defence against Candida fungus and this causes the fungus to grow out of control.
These below mentioned could be used to treat oral thrush in the babies at home itself and they are
Application of baking soda - This is one important method used at home to treat this oral thrush in babies in homes. This baking soda kills the Candida fungus fully and cleans the mouth of babies. It is important that boiling one cup of drinking water is taken first then left to cool little. Then add 2 pinches of baking soda to it and mix it well. Then clean cotton cloth is dipped in this and gently rubbed over the baby’s tongue. The oral thrush gets cleaned.
Aloe vera application - This is also superb and could be used to treat oral thrush in babies and is very effective. First apply some fresh aloe vera gel to baby’s tongue and this is followed by taking a wet cloth and cleaning the affected area in the baby’s mouth.
Tea tree oil application - Tea tree oil gives many health benefits are known. It has got superb anti inflammatory as well as antiseptic property in it. Do you know that it also helps in treating oral thrush in babies? Add one or two drops of this tea tree oil to water and boil the water. Take a wet cloth and clean the affected part in the mouth of baby.
Turmeric and milk application - Turmeric plays huge role in cooking is well known. This turmeric is also useful in treating oral thrush in babies that are little older. First crush some turmeric and add 2 spoons of milk. This is mixed well and is applied to baby’s mouth. Cleaning the baby’s mouth with lukewarm water is followed next.
