Misty early mornings & scorching sun in the afternoons - RMC Chennai

Severe summer has arrived in Tamil Nadu.However, Chennai has been experiencing an unusual weather – Early mornings are misty. The early mornings continue to be misty as in January. However, the afternoons are scorching.
Chennai Meteorological official explained:
Now-a-days, the sky is clear in Chennai. There are no clouds. Chill winds come from North & the North-east. This leads to chilly nights. The minimum temperature has come down from 23 Degrees C. to 22.8 Degrees C.This will continue for 2 to 3 days.
