Why suddenly Aavin milk supply got affected in places like Anna Nagar, Ambattur, Korattur, Poonamallee etc in Chennai?

The dairy producers are on strike plus there are machine based issues in the Ambattur manufacturing unit. As a result, there is now a shortage in the Aavin milk and the milk supply in the western parts of Chennai like Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Korattur, Poonamallee etc was affected.
It must be recalled that for the last 3 days there has been a delay in the milk vans leaving the Ambattur manufacturing unit. It must be taken into account that some shops sold ola aavin milk packets stored in cold storage units of dealers and distributors.
According to Mr. T. Sadagopan, Avadi based consumer rights activist, none of the Aavin outlets in the area had milk packets even at 11 am. He spoke about how now the exams have been going on and how the parents and students would like to drink coffee/tea before their early morning routine. He wanted Aavin to ensure uninterrupted milk supply.
For not maintaining the machines properly at the Ambattur unit, TNCMPF or Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation have suspended 2 assistant general managers.In this situation, some milk vans were diverted to places like Sholinganallur, Madhavaram and Kakkalur manufacturing units so that excess milk could be distributed to the places having milk demand.
On Thursday, 30th March 2023, Mr. Ponnuswamy, TN Milk Dealers Welfare Association conducted a press meet. He threw light about how to compensate for the drop in the procurement of milk skimmed milk powder and butter was used by the federation to produce milk. He added that substandard skimmed milk powder and butter was procured.
