Hindu Sacred Occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi: All express trains will stop at Srirangam Station for 3 days!

As per the Tamil Calendar, the 11th day of the phase of the growing moon in the month of Margazhi is celebrated as the sacred `Vaikunta Ekadasi` festival by the Hindus as a tradition!

During this period, lakhs of Hindu devotees visit temples and pray and perform poojas!

As such, for the benefit of the devotees who will be visiting the temple of Lord Sri Ramanatha at Srirangam on this holy day of Vaikunta Ekadasi, the Southern Railway Administration has arranged some special facilities on this occasion!

In a notification released in this regard by the Senior Commercial Manager Senthilkumar of Southern Railway Trichy Division, it is mentioned:

"On the sacred occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi, with the "Sorga Vaasal Thirappu Vishal` (the corridors of the Sanctum Sanctorum of Lord Sri Ranganatha being opened) on 2nd January 2023, for the benefit of the devotees:

  • The train 12635 Chennai Egmore-Madurai Vaigai Express will stop at Srirangam Railway Station from 6.08 PM to 6.10 PM.
  • The train 12636 Madurai-Chennai Egmore Vaigai Express Train will stop at Srirangam Railway Station from 9.38 AM to 9.40 AM.
  • Similarly, train 16102 Kollam-Chennai Egmore Kollam Express will stop at Srirangam Railway Station from 9.38 PM to 9.40 PM.
  • The train 16101, Chennai Egmore-Kollam Express, will stop at Srirangam Railway Station from 9.38 PM to 9.40 PM.
  • The train 16101 Chennai Egmore-Kollam Express train will stop at Srirangam Railway Station from 9.18 PM to 9.20 PM.

All the above trains will stop at Srirangam Railway Station from 1st January 2023 to 3rd January 2023 for 3 days!
