Superb news about the flyover at Valluvar Kottam in Chennai!!

A 900 feet long flyover would be making its presence felt in the future at Valluvar Kottam. For this, GCC would be acquiring lands worth Rs 61.6 cr along the Kodambakkam High Road.
According to the council resolution passed by the civic body, private lands up to 2883 sqkm along with the government lands of 8014 sqkm would be acquired by the civic body. In total, GCC would acquire 10897 sqkm of land to construct the flyover.
From the Palmgrove Hotel along the Kodambakkam high Road, the flyover would start. This was mentioned by some officials from GCC. The flyover or bridge would be of 14m width and would have 4 lanes. The superb piece of information is that without any hindrance at the Valluvar Kottam Junction the vehicles would be able to reach Uthamar Gandhi Salai directly from Kodambakkam.
At the signals,those vehicles that go under the flyover at Valluvar Kottam might have to wait for some time only. To reach the Uthamar Gandhi Salai, vehicles from T. Nagar coming via Thirumalai Pillai Road would have to take right at Kodambakkam High Road. Tenders would be announced once the land acquisition process gets completed and this was mentioned by the GCC Commissioner Mr. Gagandeep Singh Bedi.
