Twin issues at the southern locality in Chennai is making the residents unhappy!!

The garbage and cattle menace, the important twin issues, have been causing a lot of headache for the residents belonging to Pammal near Pallavaram now. The residents here are not happy because no action has been taken despite them issuing complaints to Tambaram Municipality and Pammal Municipality. It was pointed out by a Pammal resident that the presence of garbage has been creating issues as it attracts both cattles as well as stray dogs. In the monsoon season sometimes the street lights do not work and it leads to several issues for many motorists here.
According to a senior officer from Pammal Municipality it was confirmed that a penalty was imposed on the cattle owners many times and inspite of this the issue is still present here.
A warning board was also set up in the Devadas Street in Pammal warning the residents not to throw garbage in the area or else a penalty of Rs 5000 would be collectd. This too did not work here. It must be taken into note that in the past there was a small mobile hotel and due to this the residents did not throw garbage. The workers have been issued clear instructions regarding collecting garbage every day and this was mentioned by an official from Pammal municipality.
