Prospects for 87 Government High School students to study at IIT Chennai!

Tamil Nadu State Minister for School Education, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi distributed the admission orders for 87 students who completed their studies in Government High Schools to pursue a higher education course on `Data Science` under the Scheme of the Tamil Nadu State Government, `Anaivarukkum IITM" (IIT MADRAS FOR ALL).

IIT Chennai introduced a course on Data Science last year. It is NOT Mandatory to pass the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination).

The students who have passed the 12th Standard with English, and Mathematics, those who have completed +2, the students who have joined some other degree (undergraduate) courses, and those who are currently employed are all eligible to apply and join this course!

Under the scheme `IIT Madras for all, 192 students who had studied in the 52 Government High Schools in Chennai Metro City and suburbs were selected to attend a 14-week training course in IIT Chennai!

These students wrote the qualifying examination to pursue the course of PS. Now, 87 students who passed this examination have been allotted seats in the Data Science Couse at IIT Chennai!

IIT Chennai is bearing 75% of the scholarship amount for the students who join this course.

Out of these students who had been selected for joining the PS Data Science, Tamil Nadu State School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi distributed the requisite documents to 45 selected students in Chennai IIT.

 The State Minister for School Education, on this occasion, shared, "Our objective is to take the Government High School Students to the next level! We are thankful to IIT Chennai for having joined us in this mission!"
