Prospects for heavy rain with lightning and thunder on 7th and 8th October!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for heavy rain with lightning and thunder in Tamil Nadu on the 7th and the 8th of October.
Due to a depression zone prevailing on the upper layers of the atmosphere over the west-central Bay of Bengal, there are prospects for mild to medium rain today (Tuesday, 4th October) in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
5th October to 7th October: There are prospects for mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
7th and 8th October: There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has further informed that there are prospects for heavy rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Cuddalore, Villupuram, Kallakkurichi, Thiruvannamalai, Vellore, Thirupathur, Ranippettai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagappattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Trichy, Pudhukkottai, and Pudhuchery and Karaikkal.
As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 24 hours. There are prospects for mild rain in a few parts of the city.
