Prospects for the onset of the Northeast Monsoon rainy season by 20th October!

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that there are prospects for the onset of the Northeast Monsoon Rainy Season on the 20th of October!
This year`s northeast monsoon rains will be normal. IMD has informed us that this year`s northeast monsoon will have prospects of more cyclones as compared to the last year!
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has estimated that this year, the prospects for the monsoon rains will be more than average in 17 districts in Tamil Nadu including Chennai!
As per this prediction, there would be more than average northeast monsoon rains in the 17 districts of Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanyakumari, Cuddalore, Kanchipuram, Theni, Madurai, Thiruvallur, Thiruvannamalai, Pudhukkottai, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Ranippettai, Villupuram, Thirunelveli, Vellore, and Virudhunagar.
Further, the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has informed that there would be average northeast monsoon rains in the districts of Ariyalur, Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Erode, Kallakkurichi, Karur, Krishnagiri, Namakkal, Mayiladuthurai, Nagappattinam, Salem, Perambalur, Thanjavur, Nilgiri, Trichy, Thiruvarur, Thenkasi, Thoothukkudi, Thirupathur, and Tirupur.
