Central Highways and Transport Minister: 27 highways to reduce travelling time!

The Central Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari has informed that the travelling time on certain highways has been reduced on the new National Green Highways – Delhi-Gatra – 6 hours, Delhi-Mumbai – 12 hours.

The Central Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari participated in a function in Delhi. While addressing the audience on this occasion, the minister shared:

"The Central Government, under the leadership of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, has given prominence to improving the infrastructure in various fields! As such, work is in progress on 27 National Green Highways.

This project activity will be completed by December!

After that, the travelling time taking these highways will reduce!

The distance of road travel from Delhi to Chandigarh is covered in 2.5 hours! Delhi-Srinagar will be 8 hours. Delhi-Mumbai travel time will be 12 hours. The travel from Delhi to Jaipur will be 2 hours. Chennai-Bangalore will be 2 hours!"

He further shared: "Cooperation among the share-holders, integrated approach and efficient use of information technology can help reduce the track expenses from 14-16% to 10%! There can be huge savings by reducing the track expenses. This can help increase exports by 50%! The long-term view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to transform India into a 5 Trillion Dollars Economy can be achieved with technology, innovations in technology and research plating important contributory parts!"
