The RMC or regional meteorological centre has informed that for the next 5 days in Tamil Nadu there are chances of moderate rains.
In one or two places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal etc, light to moderate rains along with thunderstorms are likely to happen today and tomorrow and this was according to RMC. The variation in the speeds of westerlies would be responsible for the light to moderate rains.
In one or two places adjoining Western Ghats districts and adjoining districts, coastal districts belong9ing to Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from 21st September to 22nd September 2022, there would be light to moderate rains along with lightning.
In north Tamil Nadu districts, Puducherry and Karaikal, there would be light to moderate rains on 23rd of September 2022. The light to moderate rains would be accompanied by thunderstorms in one or two places. For the next 2 days, the sky condition in Chennai would be partly cloudy and some locations in Chennai would receive light to moderate rains accompanied by thunderstorms.
In Chennai, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 36 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 27 to 28 degrees Celsius.
