Amazing news on huge compensation money for the Parandur land near Chennai

The people in Parandur near Chennai have now got a reason to rejoice!!
The state government has decided to provide 350% of the market value of the land that would be taken by the TN government for the sake of setting up a second airport. This was confirmed by Mr. E.V. Velu, minister for Public Works.
It is learnt that in the public hearing meeting organised by the TN govt people belonging to 13 villages have urged the govt to issue additional compensation amount and employment for them.
The superb piece of news is that the TN government has decided to provide 350% of the market value of the land that would be taken by the government for the airport project. All the educated persons in the 13 villages would be provided with jobs too. This was as per the demands of the villagers in Parandur.
It must be recalled that the TN govt has planned to acquire 4563.56 acres of land for the second airport at Parandur. Of the total 4563.56 acres, 3246.38 acres of land are private patta and the rest 1317.18 acres of land is classified as government poramboke land.
Information collected is that of the private patta land 2446.79 acres of land are irrigated lands and 799.51 acres are un-irrigated lands.
