Procedure to apply for Senior Citizens Financial Assistance!

With the ultra-modern technical facilities, it is possible nowadays to apply for various welfare schemes!
This would help prevent unnecessary travel to visit the concerned offices and also considerable time!
Out of the various welfare schemes, let us have a look at how to apply for the senior Citizen`s monthly assistance scheme offered by the government:
ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLYING FOR SENIOR CITIZEN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
- Photo of the applicant
- Ration Card
- Aadhar Card
- Passbook of bank savings Account
Procedure to apply:
- Visit the website: https://tnega.tn.gov.in/
- All instructions will be in English!
- In case interested Tamil can be selected!
- Click the option -: Citizen Services` and enter!
- Citizens who already have an account can give their password and enter.
- In case no account is available, give a new `password` and log in.
- Now, select the option `Revenue Department` on the page displayed after login.
- After that, click the option, `National Old Age Pension Age Scheme`.
- Details asked for MUST be filled in the box that appears and the instruction further will also be displayed!
- Click the button `proceed`!
- Select the option; Register CAN`.
- An application form will be displayed to fill up details such as the name of the applicant, address, gender, Date of Birth, Aadhar Card details, Taluk, District, Academic Qualifications, Permanent residential Address, Ward Number, E-mail Address, Cellphone number, etc.
- OTP (one-time-password will be sent to the given cellphone number. Enter the OTP.
- Then, carefully enter the personal details asked such as an address, etc.
- In the subsequent displays, select your option whether the savings Bank account or the Post Office Savings Account for the monthly senior citizen assistance to be credited! Give the details of the bank account or the post office account.
- Then upload some important personal documents such as Aadhar Card, photogram[h, etc.
- Now pay the application fee through net banking, UPI, or Debit Card. Now, admission chit will be given.
- Within a reasonable time, the office of the Village Administration Officer (VAO) will invite you to verify of details furnished.
- Take the originals of the personal details furnished. NOTE THAT ONLY IF ALL DOCUMENTS ARE VALID AND AVAILABLE, APPROVAL WILL BE GIVEN BY THE THASILDHAR!
- If the documents are checked and declared as valid, YOU WILL START RECEIVING THE MONTHLY SENIOR CITIZEN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE!!
